The 2025 Christmas Collection!
Compiled and translated by Cristy Hulsz, who also translated my first Spanish variation, Mr. Darcy’s Bookshop. Or should I say, La librería del señor Darcy: una variación de orgullo y prejuicio? (Actually, I probably shouldn’t say that, as I don’t speak Spanish and would undoubtedly issue forth something totally unintelligible.)
This year, the cover for the anthology was done by Mariana Huelsz, who I can only assume is a relation of Cristy’s. It came out beautifully. I almost didn’t notice that the author names are incorporated into the design, which is a lovely solution to listing us. I like how our names are almost hidden in the artwork (I enjoy hidden elements on covers…)
This year’s collection includes (in the order I pulled them off the cover) stories by Jeff Bigler (rumor has it there’s a poem in his), Kimbelle Pease, Melanie Rachel, Harry Frost (I think this is Harry’s very first variation!), Tiffany Thomas, Zarilda Belle Frost, Melissa Anne, Barry S. Richman, Abigail Reynolds, Don Jacobson, Louise Devonshire, and MJ Stratton. Oh, and one by me, of course. Actually, Cristy said it’s my best Christmas story yet. Of course, she hasn’t read The Christmas Unicorn. Then, neither have you. Yet.
As with last year, Cristy will not be giving the collection away for free (to the best of my knowledge) because this year’s collection is once again being used to raise money for the Jane Austen House Museum.
